A FLOOD alert has been issued by the Environment Agency for the Cirencester area.
Affected locations are the River Churn from Coberley to Cerney Wick and The Hilcot Brook, The Daglingworth Stream and The Gumstool Brook.
The Agency explained that following heavy rain over the past few days The River Churn has now began to spill out into the floodplain around Cirencester.
Levels are expected to stay high for several days but no property flooding is forcast.
Heavy rain is expected tomorrow (Sunday, January 4)
