JOURNALIST Judy Merry will talk about her career working for the BBC in a talk at Westonbirt School on February 28.

Her various roles at the BBC include creating sound effects for radio drama, being a presenter on both local and national radio, and spending many years as a television producer.

Judy won a Sony Gold award for her work on Michael Rosen’s radio series about the death of his son, On Saying Goodbye, and partly as a result of this, she and a colleague wrote a book on bereavement called Relative Grief.

She will talk about her experiences working in radio and television – both in front of and behind the camera and the microphone.

The lecture, which starts at 7.30pm at the Tetbury school, is being organised by the Friends of Westonbirt School.

Admission is free. Booking is not necessary and there will be a cash bar.

People can also enjoy a post-lecture supper. It is £15 per head and must be booked before February 21. To book or for further details, please call or email twarner@westonbirt.org
