A CIRENCESTER business took to the cold streets this winter to raise money for young and homeless people.

Members of mobile games company Neon Play got kitted up in festive gear expecting to stroll around the town fundraising for Cirencester Housing for Young People (CHYP).

But to their surprise, a huge sleigh arrived to cart them around the streets of Cirencester, fronted by a statue of Rudolph and containing a very jolly Father Christmas.

CHYP Fundraising Officer Natalie Ledger said without the help of Neon Play, the charity may have not been able to fundraise due to a lack of volunteers.

"We are really grateful to the guys at Neon Play who went round with the Round Table Christmas Sleigh to raise money for CHYP,” she said.

“They came to the rescue since we didn’t have enough volunteers. They have certainly helped to make Christmas a little happier for the homeless young people we support.”

CEO of Neon Play Oli Christie said: “CHYP is a brilliant local Cirencester charity, so when they asked us if we could go door knocking with Santa, we couldn’t wait to get out there and collect money from the good people of Cirencester.”
