A TEACHING ASSISTANT from Lechlade has invested all her savings into launching an online clothing business, making it her mission to bring hard-to-find fashion to the High Street shopper.

Chloe Nicoll, 22, launched her brand new website Henri Castro Clothing from her bedroom only last week yet she is already receiving multiple orders.

She sells a variety of designer, vintage and handmade pieces, including shoes, accessories and clothing for both men and women.

“The idea had been brewing away in my head for ages before I decided to do it,” she said.

“I’m really enjoying it and I’m so relieved to be where I am now. I even taught myself how to sew and a few people give me lessons.”

The SEN teaching assistant works at Burford Secondary School every weekday until 3.30pm before coming home to carry on working on her website, often until as late as midnight.

“I’m pretty tired but it’s so exciting,” she continued. “I’ve used all my savings and my overdraft to help my business get off the ground.”

Despite studying English at Southampton University, Chloe admitted she had always been interested in fashion and likes to search for vintage pieces which are not always available on the High Street.

“I’m sort of helping the average High Street shopper discover hard-to-find vintage pieces which they couldn’t usually get in the chain stores.

“Shopping in some of those stores means someone else is always wearing what you’ve bought. I’ve experienced that before.”

Chloe is now a registered trader and works at all aspects of the business herself. She receives the orders, packages them with a handwritten note and takes care of the finances.

A few of her friends have helped out by modelling her clothes for the website.

“I graduated from university in July so I’m living with my parents at the moment,” she said. “They very kindly sign for all my massive clothes packages that arrive for me.”
