THREE MEN arrested after police descended on Malmesbury have been charged with burglary and remanded in custody until the New Year.

Air support, dogs and response officers converged on the town at lunchtime on December 9 after an alert from one of the local Police Community Support Officers following up a call from council ground staff.

The men from Birmingham were detained on suspicion of being involved in a burglary near Chippenham.

Stephen Rosindale, aged 29, of Dagnall Rd, Michael Nelson, 25 of Tavistock Road and Luke Hales, 20, of Oddingley Road are due to appear at Swindon Crown Court on January 3.
