A FIRM of Cirencester solicitors has revealed the name of a local charity that it will be supporting throughout the first half of 2014.

Sewell Mullings Logie, which is based on Dollar Street, will raise money for the Churn Project, a local charity aimed at improving life for Cirencester people.

A spokesman for the firm said: “We are pleased to announce that the staff have chosen the Churn Project as our firm’s nominated charity.

“The services and activities of the charity can now be accessed by everyone living in Cirencester and it is estimated that around 7,000 local people take advantage of them every year.”

The Churn Project works alongside people from all walks of life in Cirencester with the aim of improving their quality of life and wellbeing.

It was set up in 2001 to work solely with people in the Watermoor, Chesterton and Beeches area of the Cirencester, roughly 65 per cent of the town’s population.

The charity provides services for older people, families and the unemployed such as new baby groups, CV help and an over 50s club.

People can raise funds for the Churn Project by visiting www.easyfundraising.org.uk and choosing the Churn Project as your cause.
