Two men in hospital following Shurdington collision

TWO men were taken to hospital last night (Tuesday, October 29) following a road traffic collision on the A46 at Shurdington.
Emergency services were called to the Shurdington Road, at the junction with Badgeworth Lane, at approximately 9.25pm.
Two vehicles were involved in the incident; a silver Ford Mondeo, driven by a 27-year-old man from Torquay, and a green Skoda Octavia driven by a 42-year-old man from Dursley.
Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service freed both drivers from their vehicles.
The 27-year-old was taken to Frenchay Hospital in Bristol where he is being treated for potentially life threatening injuries.
The 42-year-old was taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital with injuries that are not believed to be life threatening.
Officers who attended the incident would like to thank a number of witnesses who stopped at the scene to give information.
They would also like to hear from any additional witnesses, that possibly saw either of the vehicles before the collision.
Information can be given to Gloucestershire Police on 101, quoting incident number 479 of October 29.
The road was closed until around 4.30 this morning (Wednesday, October 30), whilst the emergency services worked at the scene.
