Gloucestershire Police look for elderly man who witnessed the theft of a handbag from a Natwest branch in Gloucester

POLICE are eager to trace an elderly man who witnessed the theft of a woman's handbag in a branch of Natwest in Gloucester at around lunch time on Saturday, October 12.
The incident happened at the bank in Eastgate Street between 12.20pm and 12.30pm.
A 33-year-old Gloucester woman left a small black handbag on a chair near the front entrance and returned a few minutes later to discover it had gone.
An elderly man told the woman someone had taken the bag and described the thief as a black man.
The bag contained £160 that the victim had saved up for Christmas.
Officers are now trying to trace the elderly witness and appealing to him, or anyone else with information, to come forward on 101, quoting incident 275 of October 12.
