CIA and Micro-Vision Fire and Security merge to create county's leading security firm
A FAMILY company in Cirencester has announced a merger that will establish it as Gloucestershire’s leading security firm.
CIA Fire and Security Ltd recently merged with Gloucester-based Micro-Vision Fire and Security creating one of the leading security providers in the county.
CIA chief executive Colin Harrison said the merger seemed like a natural expansion for the company.
“We’ve combined two companies to make them both more efficient. Micro Vision has a sound customer base of 15 years,” he said. “This merger gives us the opportunity to see how Micro-Vision works so we can choose the best practices from both firms and improve the service for our clients.”
CIA Fire and Security, formally known as Cirencester Intruder Alarms, began 25 years ago with just three members of staff. A quarter of a century on and the company manages 70 staff across offices in Cirencester, Gloucester and Calne.
“We’ve built this company on our ethos, which is to provide quality systems and customer service. The business moves forward at all times and ensures everyone who works for us has a secure future,” Mr Harrison added.
Managing director at Micro-Vision Fire & Security Kevin Powis-Jones said: “The sale ensures the long-term success of Micro-Vision as the CIA team use their experience to create a company that delivers the complete range of security services with the highest levels of quality and professionalism.”
The new company is called CIA Fire & Security Group.
