UPDATE: Motorcyclist airflifted to hospital following B4014 Tetbury crash

A MOTORCYCLIST was air lifted to hospital yesterday afternoon following a crash in Tetbury.
An air ambulance landed on the field opposite Hampton Road Industrial Estate following an accident between a Yamaha motorcycle travelling on Hampton Street and a Volkwagen Tiguan travelling from Lowefield Road on Tuesday afternoon at about 4.40pm.
The B4014 Avening Road was understood to be closed from St Mary's Road following the accident.
The 17-year-old Nailsworth man riding the motorcycle was airlifted to Frenchay Hospital in Bristol with life-changing injuries.
A ambulance spokesman added the man suffered minor bleeding, lower leg and ankle injuries but was conscious and breathing when paramedics arrived at the scene.
No injury details have been given about the driver of the car, also male and from the local area.
Witnesses should contact Gloucestershire Police on 101 quoting incident number 322 of October 15.
