POLICE investigating a suspected arson and burglary at a home in Edendale Road in Cheltenham are still searching for information.
Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service alerted Gloucestershire Police to the fire shortly before 3.45 on Tuesday October 1.
Officers believe a burglary may have taken place in the home and that the fire was started intentionally.
As a result of the fire the home cannot be lived in. Thankfully no one was at home at the time of the blaze and no one was injured.
Officers are examining whether the incident is connected to a shed burglary at Niven Courtyard. Tools had been stolen from the shed the same night and it’s thought these may have been used to force entry to the Edendale Road home.
Officers are eager to hear from anyone who saw or heard any suspicious activity in either of these areas in the early hours of October 1.
