THE local policing team for Tewkesbury joined thousands around the country in putting their baking skills to the test for charity today.
The officers hosted an event at the Tewkesbury Borough Council Officers between 9am and 12am this morning as part of Macmillan Cancer Support’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning.
Members of the public and council staff were welcomed by a vast selection of cakes and cookies to savour and helped the policing team raise £375.
Sergeant for the area, Claire Morgan, said: “A huge thank you to everyone who came along to support our efforts to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support. We are thrilled with the amount you helped us raise and hope you all went home with satisfied tummies.”
