POLICE are trying to trace a van driver who failed to stop after crashing into a cyclist in Tredworth.
A month after the crash on Tredworth Road the 26-year-old man who was riding the bike is still receiving treatment for an injured shoulder.
The crash happened between 4.45pm and 5pm on Saturday, August 24.
The cyclist was riding home in the cycle lane on his brand new Giant bike when a white flatbed lorry, possibly a Mercedes, turned left suddenly towards the cemetery, leaving the victim no time to brake. He crashed into the passenger side door.
Police say four or five people stopped to help the victim but that the van driver failed to return to the scene.
They are urging the driver or anyone who witnessed the crash who has not spoken to them to come forward by calling 101, quoting incident 355 of August 2.
