POLICE investigating a distraction theft at a cash point in Cheltenham town centre have released CCTV images of two men they would like to speak to as part of their enquiries.
At approximately 5.10pm on Friday July 26 a woman from Brockworth was using the Santander cash machine on the High Street when a man approached her, told her the machine was not working and then held up piece over paper over the screen.
It’s thought that the man had intentionally distracted her to steal her card as she later discovered that £300 had been taken from her account.
Two men were seen on CCTV in the area around the time of the incident and officers would like to speak to them as part of their investigation.
These men, or anyone that recognises them, is asked to call Gloucestershire Police on 101, quoting incident number 461 of July 27.
