Delays in local plan could have adverse effect on Cotswold District Council's reputation
COTSWOLD District Council has revealed that the delays in delivering the district’s local plan could lead to problems in the future.
At a recent cabinet meeting it was said that the delays could result in more planning appeals and also have a detrimental impact on the reputation of CDC.
The issue of a local plan has been a focal point among many Cirencester residents who do not want to see 2,500 homes built in the Chesterton area.
CDC is currently in the midst of producing a local plan and reviewing over 2,000 responses that were generated during the public consultation.
The local plan, which outlines development in the area up until 2031, is expected to be finalised in 2015.
