HANNAH TAPLEY, from Lechlade, took gold in the U15 High Jump at the Midland Counties Athletics Championships with a magnificent leap of 1.63m.
The victory at the Alexander Stadium in Birmingham is only one part of an exceptional summer of success for Hannah, who attends Malvern St James Girls’ School.
She recently competed at the England Championships, in Bedford, finishing fifth overall. She also triumphed in both the ISA National High Jump, and the Hereford and Worcester County Schools Championships, breaking Championship and County records with a jump of 1.62m. Hannah is currently ranked 14th in UK for her age group.
Her dedication has seen an improvement in her personal best of 13cm since February.
As a boarder at MSJ, Hannah is able enjoy a full and varied extra-curricular programme and the flexibility to pursue and develop her sporting passions both in and out of school.
