Soudley 2 Bibury 2.

BIBURY battled back from two goals down to claim a point at Soudley on Saturday.

Bibury had the first shot on target but James Keylock’s effort was saved and at the other end Bibury keeper Luce did well to both stop a shot from distance and then tip over a strike from the resulting corner.

Five minutes before the break, Soudley took the lead when their striker Nelmes raced on to a long ball into the box and finished well.

Right on half-time, Bibury’s Danny Brunton saw his shot tipped over.

Soudley started the second half well and soon doubled their lead through their captain Johnson.

Bibury then made a triple substitution, which turned the game in their favour.

Keylock pulled a goal back, firing in from the edge of the box and the hosts thought they had levelled when George Peare’s header from a corner appeared to cross the line only for the referee to say no.

Nathan Brunton and Dom O'Neill both had chances before Bibury did equalise with ten minutes remaining when Danny Brunton fired in from about 20 yards.

With time running out, Bibury had another goal disallowed for offside and had to settle for a point.
