Kemble pottery maker, Carol Butler, will hold a garage sale after deciding to stop spinning clay after more than three decades
A WOMAN from Kemble is switching off her pottery wheel after more than 30 years of spinning clay.
Carol Butler has been producing and selling pottery at her Kemble home, Westernville Pottery, for the last 31 years.
However, due to family circumstances Carol will be moving to Tewkesbury and leaving her pottery while back in Kemble.
She said: “We’re close to the train station so we’ve had a steady trade over the years.
“Some people are probably sad that I’m going, when you’ve lived in a place this long you become part of the furniture.”
Carol will be holding a garage sale at Westernville Pottery on Saturday, September 7 between 11am and 4-pm to sell all the items that have accumulated in the shop over the last three decades.
