Bailiffs move in to repossess listed buildings in Malmesbury

POLICE were called to Oxford Street in Malmesbury today after bailiffs moved in to repossess properties belonging to local businessman Frank Faryab.
The locks on several buildings, including the former Moravian Church and the Manse are understood to have been changed on the orders of a bank.
Concerns have been expressed over recent years about the increasingly dilapidated state of the listed properties and in September 2012 he was ordered by magistrates carry out emergency repairs to one of them after Wiltshire Council surveyors warned a wall could fall out onto a neighbouring bistro.
