A TETBURY woman has been praised by celebrities for her new childcare business venture.

Angela Roach, who lives in Westonbirt, is the creator of The Hotel Nanny which she set up to address the lack of dependable childcare ln most hotels.

Her new business venture offers a reliable, consistent service for families wanting to enjoy the full luxuries of their time away and the service is now available in 14 of the most exclusive hotels found in the Cotswolds and Bath.

A number of celebrity clients have already praised the 38-year-old's successful service including Take That star Mark Owen and Dr Pixie McKenna from Channel 4’s Embarrassing Bodies.

Mark Owen said: "We have always found any of the nannies provided to have been professional and friendly.

"The kids have immediately felt comfortable with them which in turn allows us to feel confident to leave them in their care.

"The Hotel Nanny affords us great peace of mind that each nanny that they provide comes with an extensively checked background and with full experience.”

Mum-of-two Angela came up with the idea for The Hotel Nanny after a disappointing experience at a five star hotel.

"The facilities were dazzling but I discovered that the childcare services were insufficient," she recalls.

"The arrangements were very informal with next to no details about the qualifications of the person that would come along. This made both my husband and I uneasy about going ahead with childcare and we were unable to enjoy our stay to the full."

After researching she found plenty of parents who had encountered similar problems.

"When guests are staying in 5 star hotels they want that similar standard of service when their children are concerned," she said.

“We’ve had so much great feedback from families on how brilliant the service is. It makes weekends away so much more enjoyable for parents, as they get the chance to enjoy the full spectrum of services on offer at these hotels.”

She hopes her initiative will take off on a national scale in the near future.
