KITTED out in tweed and with old-fashioned bikes at the ready 'The Guvnor's Assembly' will be touring the Cotswolds this week.

This year, the assembly is kicking off the tour at The Bull Hotel in Fairford and members have come from as far as Switzerland to take part.

The tour sees the group cycle together from Fairford, to Cotswold Woollen Weavers at Filkins, to Bibury Court Hotel before finishing at the Red Lion pub at Ampney St Peter.

Residents and tourists will see the group dressed entirely in tweed and riding replica 1930's Path Racer bikes.

The event has been organised by Mark Fairhurst and takes place on 24 and 25 August. For details contact 07970 965397.
