Gloucestershire Police arrest a man following a serious assault in the Whaddon area of Cheltenham

A MAN was seriously injured in an incident in the Whaddon area of Cheltenham yesterday afternoon.
Police were called to a report of fighting outside a property in Thames Road at about 4.45pm on Tuesday, August 20.
A man, believed to be 26 years old, was found with stab wounds and other injuries and airlifted to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham in a serious condition.
Shortly after 2am on Wednesday August 21, a 22-year-old man was arrested in connection to the incident after attending Cheltenham Police Station.
He currently remains in police custody.
