Trees to take root across Fairford as part of new community plan
TREES could take root across Fairford as part of a new community plan to brighten the town.
The Fairford Preservation Trust recently applied to the Tree Council for a grant to plant more trees in the town but was disappointed to be turned down.
Despite the knockback, members have decided to branch out with plans and hopes to plant 40 trees around the town.
Since the group is no longer able to receive funding, it hopes residents will help out by sponsoring a tree.
It costs £45 to sponsor which goes towards planting the tree, protecting it and also after care for the tree.
