Music quiz tomorrow (Saturday 17) at the Wheatsheaf, Cricklade Street in aid of Corinium Radio
A MUSIC quiz in Cirencester has been organised to raise funds for Corinium Radio.
Since the community radio station relocated to Bingham House, members have started to think of ways to raise vital funds to be able to broadcast more frequently.
A music quiz will be held at the Wheatsheaf, Cricklade Street with teams numbering up to five members invited to pit their wits this Saturday (August 17) at 8pm.
Organiser Nick Brook, who owned the town's last music and record shop, Tower Sound, said that the quiz will test the contestants' powers of recall on a fun and slightly challenging journey through the last six decades of music.
"I'm excited for the quiz," Mr Brook said. "I've become quite involved with Corinium Radio and it'll be great for them if they can extend their broadcasts. It's all about getting the funding first though."
The evening will also give people an opportunity to come and learn more about Corinium Radio and its future aims as well as how to become involved.
Entry costs £2 per person.
