Farmyard animals from the Butts Farm in South Cerney join customers queueing up at Barclays in Cirencester as part of new initiative to promote small businesses
ANYONE who popped in to Barclays in Cirencester earlier this week would have had a shock when some unlikely characters joined the back of the queue.
Newborn bunny rabbits, chickens and tortoises spent the day inside the Market Place branch as part of an initiative by the bank to help small businesses.
The animals, from the Butts Farm in South Cerney, were accompanied by farm owner Judy Hancox-Wallace in a bid to raise awareness of the farm and shop.
She said: “To have the opportunity to heighten the awareness of my business is just wonderful, it really shows that the bank is connected to the local community.”
Other small local businesses will be promoting themselves at the banks in the coming weeks.
Phil Williams, Barclays business manager, said: “This business events is an ideal way in which we can help and support our customers.
“It’s great to have the opportunity to contribute to their marketing activity.”
