CIRENCESTER Hockey Club's Daniel Jackson has been representing the England U16 Boys' Hockey team in recent matches.
Jackson was selected back in December and has been attending assessment and training camps throughout the season at the National Sports Centre at Lilleshall.
He was the youngest player in the 26-man squad having been one of only two players to be chosen a year early.
Jackson is the latest in a line of international hockey players who have come through the Cirencester Kingshill School production line - Tom Pinnegar and Tom Groombridge have played for England in recent years - which is all the more remarkable because the school does not have a hockey pitch.
In May, Jackson played in three victories over Ulster. Last week, he again played a trio of matches this time against Belgium.
A strong Belgium team won the first two matches 2-1 and 5-1, but England rallied to hold the visitors to a 3-3 draw in the final clash at Folkestone.
Following two matches against British Colleges, Daniel and the England team head to Dusseldorf in Germany next week to play three matches against the powerful German U16s.
