AN ELDERLY woman from Fairford was killed in a crash near Cirencester yesterday afternoon.
Two air ambulances were called following the crash at the Sunhill crossroads on an unclassified road between Ampney St Mary and Quenington at 3.40pm yesterday, but the 87-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash involved a blue Volkswagen Polo being driven by the Fairford woman and a blue Land Rover Discovery driven by another woman from Cirencester.
The driver and passengers of the Land Rover were not hurt.
The road was closed for around six hours while investigations were carried out.
