A TEENAGER from Coleford has been charged with attempted rape and other sexual offences following an attack in Gloucester on Wednesday night.
The 16-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has been charged with assaulting a female 13 or over by penetration with a part of the body or thing, committing an offence with the intention of committing a relevant sexual offence, attempting to rape a woman 16 or over and possessing an offensive weapon in a public place.
The charges follow an assault on a 19-year-old woman in Gloucester Park at around 11pm on Wednesday.
The boy will appear at Stroud Magistrates Court today.
