MALMESBURY’S own Michelangelo, Luke Hollingworth is preparing to start on a final flourish of artwork that he hope will clinch a national shed of the year title.
He plans to create a stencil version of the famous masterpiece of Renaissance art on the ceiling of his shed.
But where Michelangelo took four years to paint the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel in Rome, Luke, who works under the name of Syd, aims to have his masterpiece in the Sydstine Chapel done and dusted in just three days in time for the final day of voting in the competition on May 31.
His Stencil Shed already has a bar, an extendable art studio and a cosy man space with a working wood burner.
