THE PARENTS of a South Cerney man who died after a motorcycle accident have paid tribute to their ‘fantastic son’.

Steven Campbell, who was born in Cirencester, died on Saturday April 20.

His parents John and Pat and sister Michelle have remembered the 26-year-old as laid back and gentle with a love of motorbikes, music and films.

John added: “Steve was a lovely boy and a fantastic son, brother and uncle.

“He never let anything get him down unless his motorbike was not working.

“We would like to thank all of our family and friends for their support through this time.”

Steve went to Ann Edwards Primary School in South Cerney and Cirencester Kingshill School before going on to study at Cirencester College.

His mother Pat said: “Everyone thought the world of Steve, nobody had a bad word to say about him.

“He loved his puppy Harley and he would stop and have a chat with the other dog owners, he had time for everyone.”

Steve, who worked in South Cerney at Redland Roof Tiles, was a popular colleague.

Steve died after the motorcycle he was riding was involved in a crash on the B4425 just outside Barnsley. No other vehicles are believed to have been involved in the accident.

Any witnesses are asked to contact police on the non-emergency 101 number.
