A FUNDRAISING car wash in aid of an appeal to raise £100,000 for life-saving treatment for a former army medic will be held at Cirencester Fire Station this Sunday.
The Standard has launched an appeal to raise the cash for Katrina Brown, who lives with her husband Martin at the Duke of Gloucester barracks at South Cerney, to be treated for systematic sclerosis.
The specialist immunotherapy treatment is not available in the UK so Katrina will have to travel to Chicago for the procedure.
The car wash will run from 10am until 1pm at the fire station on School Lane.
Donations for the appeal can be made by a cheque made out to Newsquest Katrina Appeal to the Wilts and Glos Standard, 74 Dyer Street, Cirencester, GL7 2PW.
