Dog owner's plea after puppy snatched
A DEVASTATED dog owner fears her five-month-old puppy has been snatched after finding its coat left at the spot the dog went missing.
Tracy Cox from Ampney St Peter said her beloved dog Poppy, a Norfolk Terrier Cross Bitch, went missing last Tuesday afternoon on March 12.
Tracy said she had been walking Poppy with friends near her home when her dog ran off to chase a neighbour’s cat.
When Poppy did not come home after a freezing night she started to worry and in the morning she returned to the spot only to find Poppy’s sage-coloured coat.
Tracy said: "I think somebody would have picked her up, she is a very friendly dog.
"Our house is near the A417 and anyone could have stopped and taken her.
"If anyone notices someone with a new puppy or think they have any information please get in touch."
Five-month-old Poppy is tan coloured and around 10 inches tall.
She is micro-chipped, has two shaved front paws following a rabies injection, and a small white dot under her chin.
If you have any information as to the whereabouts of Poppy contact Tracy on 07977 321254.
