Cirencester man hit by a dark BMW 316 compact at the junction of Watermoor Road and Querns Lane

A CIRENCESTER man was taken to hospital after a hit-and-run last night.
The 20-year-old was hit by a dark BMW 316 compact at the junction of Watermoor Road and Querns Lane at around 11.15pm.
He was taken to Swindon's Great Western Hospital with a head injury and cuts and bruises.
His injuries are not believed to be serious.
A 37-year-old man from the town was arrested shortly after the crash on suspicion failing to stop at the scene of a collision and has been bailed to return to Cheltenham Police Station on May 1 pending further inquiries.
The road was closed for three hours while investigations were carried out.
Anyone witnessed the collision is asked to call police on 101 quoting incident number 514 of March 15.
