ACTIVISTS from New Fathers 4 Justice have confirmed they are behind plans to disrupt the Cheltenham Gold Cup.

Information was leaked to the Standard yesterday that three members of the pressure group, which split from the original Fathers 4 Justice in 2008, are planning to disrupt the 3.15pm race on Friday.

The trio are said to be dressing as male suffragettes with a banner saying “Give Dads equal rights”.

New Fathers 4 Justice contacted the Standard today to confirm it was behind the plans.

A spokesman from Fathers 4 Justice confirmed today the organisiation had no plans to disrupt the races.
