Crime falls in Tetbury in January

CRIME has fallen in Tetbury over the past month.

There were 14 crimes recorded in the town last month in comparison with 17 in January 2012.

There were three incidents of theft last month in comparison with five last year and no incidents of criminal damage compared to two in 2012.

Fraud also dropped with no incidents recorded last month in comparison with one in January 2012, while there were no recorded drug crimes either last month or in the previous year.

However, burglary rose slightly with five incidents last month compared with three in the previous year. There were six recorded incidents of violence in comparison with five in January 2012.

Overall, crime in the town has decreased over three past ten months, with 132 recorded from April 2012 to January 2013 in comparison with 145 in the same period 12 months earlier.
