Teenage girl kicked to face in brutal Cirencester attack

A TEENAGE girl has been left with serious facial injuries after reportedly being punched and kicked in the face and stamped on by a man in Cirencester.

Distressed members of the public called emergency services when they found the 19-year-old lying on the floor, drifting in and out of consciousness and bleeding from her face, at around 1am on Saturday, February 16.

She was conscious when paramedics from South West Ambulance Service arrived on the scene and was taken to Gloucester’s Royal Hospital for treatment.

A 20-year-old man is believed to have launched the attack after the teenager attempted to break up a fight between the offender and another man in Swan Yard, near Market Place.

The alleged attacker has since been arrested by police and has been bailed until March 4, pending further investigations.

Anyone with information has been asked to contact Gloucestershire police on 101.
