A LORRY and nine cars were involved in the crash at the Air Balloon roundabout.

The crash on the A417 between the roundabout and Seven Springs happened at around 3.30pm following a freak hailstorm.

The vehicles involved are:

  • A Mazda 323 driven by a 35-year-old man from Oxfordshire.
  • A Blue Toyota Corolla driven by a 44-year-old man from Nottinghamshire.
  • A blue Peugeot 107 driven by a 75-year-old woman from Churchdown.
  • A white Nissan Primastar van driven by a man from Oxfordshire.
  • A blue Peugeot 206 driven by a 29-year-old from Gloucestershire.
  • A blue Volkswagen tour van being driven by a 44-year-old woman from Quedgeley.
  • A black Rover 75 driven by a 54-year-old man from North Yorkshire.
  • A black BMW 3 series driven by a 35-year-old man from Devon.
  • A blue BMW 3 series.
  • A DAF lorry.

Two vehicles ended up on their roofs, but no one has been reported as seriously injured but emergency services are at the scene.

The road is expected to be closed for some time.
