Budget increase proposed by Police and Crime Commissioner Martin Surl approved by the Police and Crime Panel
6:00pm Saturday 9th February 2013 in News By Ian Craig
TAXPAYERS in Gloucestershire are set to see their council tax bills increase to help prevent crime in the county.
Police and Crime Commissioner Martin Surl suggested an increase to the police portion of the precept of two per cent, which was last week approved by the Police and Crime Panel.
This represents an annual increase of £3.99 for a Band D property.
Police and Crime Panel chairman Cllr Brian Calway said the group had considered the increase carefully before deciding to approve it.

It better NOT be an increase of £200 a year, we don't see a policeman for love nor money, if he wants that amount from every household in glos then I better see bobbies on the beat!
