Teenage girl sexually assaulted on a path between Apsley Road and the Chesterton Industrial Park near the highways gritting station on Countess Lilias Road in Cirencester

A 14-YEAR-OLD girl was sexually assaulted in Cirencester last Friday.
The teenager was walking along a path between Apsley Road and the Chesterton Industrial Park near the highways gritting station on Countess Lilias Road between 5.30pm and 6pm on February 1 when she was grabbed from behind and pushed into a white trailer.
The male attacker then removed the girl’s clothes and performed a lewd act.
The assault was reported to police on Wednesday February 6.
Gloucestershire police Detective Sergeant Angela Middlewood urged anyone with information to come forward.
“If you have seen anything you're not in trouble but your information maybe vital to the case,” she said.
“We understand that this is a worrying time for the community and I would just like to reassure everyone that we are doing all we can to identify the offender.”
Anyone with information that could help the investigation should call police on 101 quoting incident 73 of February 7.
