A429 closed after serious crash near Kemble

A MAN has been airlifted to hospital with serious injuries after he crashed his car into a ditch in Kemble.
The man, who is yet to be formally identified, was found unconscious behind the wheel of his green Golf VW at around 10.20am today.
He suffered serious injuries in the one-car crash at the A429 at the Culkerton crossroads.
Wiltshire air ambulance, police and fire crews were called to the scene and the man was airlifted to Bristol’s Frenchay Hospital for treatment.
The A429 Crudwell northbound road has been shut in both directions.
The road is expected to be closed for several hours.
