A BID to build a new community hub in Tetbury has been given a £600 boost thanks to a charity wine tasting event and raffle.

The town’s Oxford Wine shop supported the campaign by the Dolphins Recreation Centre to build a new hall with the charity evening, which saw resident Marcus Humphries walk away with a magnum of Pink Floyd Provence Rose signed by the band’s legendary drummer Nick Mason.

Dolphins Recreation Centre chairman Barry Gibbs said the support the campaign had received had been “magnificent”.

“It is particularly pleasing to continue that support through local traders,” he said. “Thanks to donations such as this we are now well on our way to being able to commission architects for this significant facility for Tetbury.”

Great to see bulldog Councillor Bazza in his mustard cords working hard in the snow - unlike his bin collectors.
