Flood meetings for Cirencester and South Cerney residents fixed
11:10am Friday 1st February 2013 in News By Laura Shack
FLOOD-AFFECTED residents in Cirencester and South Cerney will get the chance to have their say in the first round of public meetings next month.
On Thursday, March 14, the public can hear from local council and agency officials and ask questions about flood action plans at what will be the first of several public meetings.
The first round of open meetings will be held at South Cerney Village Hall from 2pm to 3.30pm and at Cotswold District Council chamber on Trinity Road, Cirencester, from 4pm to 6pm.
Organised by Cotswold MP Geoffrey Clifton Brown, the events will bring together all of the councils and agencies responsible for flood defence and alleviation.
Future meetings will be planned to ensure councils and agencies carry out the works they pledge to do.
