Sherston councillor shortlisted for national title

MALMESBURY Area Board chairman John Thomson has been shortlisted for a national councillor achievement award.
Cllr Thomson, who is also deputy leader of Wiltshire Council, was nominated by Age UK in the awards which recognise councillors who go over and above what it expected of them.
Organised by the Local Government Information Unit, the winners’ ceremony is on February 25.
