Peckish thief stops for cake during raid on cafe

BURGLARS who broke into a cafe stopped for a big bite of cake before making off with staff tip money.
The thieves smashed the tip jar and ransacked the Dutch Cottage in Chippenham overnight between 10.45pm on Monday and 8.30am the following day.
PC Verity Ruffell said: “Whoever carried out this burglary left a lot of mess behind which has upset the owners and staff.”
