Chimney fire at large Lechlade house

FIREFIGHTERS battled a chimney fire in Lechlade this afternoon.
One crew from Fairford Fire Station was called to the fire at a house at around 4.35pm.
On arrival they found the chimney of the large house was well alight and called for a crew from Gloucester to assist them with an aerial ladder platform.
The firefighters spent more than two hours at the scene putting out the flames and making sure no fire risk remained.
