Waste collections resume in the Cotswolds
3:25pm Monday 28th January 2013 in News By Ian Craig
WASTE collections across the Cotswolds have resumed today after more than a week of bin bags stacking up.
There have been no collections in the district since Friday January 18 due to the wintry weather.
To make up the backlog crews will be collecting bin bags left by wheelie bins at the next scheduled collection for each area.
South Zone:
- Monday January 28-Friday February 1: Food and garden waste only.
- Monday February 4–Friday February 8: All waste.
North Zone:
- Monday January 28-Friday February 1: All waste.
- Monday February 4–Friday February 8: Food and garden waste only.
Collection zones can be seen here.

Snow was gone in town almost minutes after collections were cancelled and now we all have to sit on our rubbish while they sit on their a***s

(And before anyone gets silly, summer tyres wear much more in the cold of winter, so it saves money to use tyres that suit the temperature, as well as the condition of the road.)

I for one am not willing to bring my rubbish (sat outside in bin for over a week) back into my property or use my own time (I work full time) or fuel to deliver it to the tip - we pay council tax (one of the highest in UK) for a service that is getting worse!
