NEW businesses in the north Cotswolds keen to get a head-start in a tough economy are invited to take part in a unique enterprise in Moreton-in-Marsh.
StartUp Britain, a company helping new businesses get started, will be running a series of pop-up shops at the Old Market Way shopping centre off the High Street in Moreton.
Pop-Up Moreton will be open for eight weeks from February 1 until March 29 and will give 12 companies the chance to spend two weeks in the retail unit, with three businesses sharing the space at one time.
Old Market Way managing director Geoffrey Berger said the project was a great way to encourage new businesses struggling under the weight of the recession.
“We sincerely hope that it will provide a platform to launch the local companies of the future”.
StartUp Britain co-founder Emma Jones said this was the first time the project would operate outside London, where many small businesses had seen significant success.
Any business located within a 20 mile radius of Moreton-in-Marsh is eligible to take part and can find out more by emailing popupshop@oldmarketway.com
