ROSE Hill Westonbirt pupils ended last year in high spirits when football professionals from Swindon Town Football club paid them a visit.

Boys and girls aged 5-11 had a full day's training with club development officers Ziggy Wardale and Shane Hewlett who put the emphasis on fun and key football skills.

The visit was part of the Swindon Town Football in the Community Trust, delivering sporting and social opportunities to people within their communities.

The Swindon Town programme was formed in 1991 and has endeavoured to deliver and increase participation for people from 3 - 80 years of age.
