A CASH reward of £5,000 has been offered for information that leads to a conviction following a burglary at the home of a Second World War veteran.
Usually Crimestoppers offer an award of up to £1,000 for information that leads to an arrest and charge. However due to the serious nature of this crime, the charity has offered an enhanced reward of up to £5,000.
The break-in happened between midnight and 7am on New Year’s Day at the house on Birches Drive in Stroud.
The offenders gained entry through a window at the side of the house and took the following items:
* 1 watch with a gold spitfire on the face and a white metal strap
* 2 watches with multi-dials and brown straps
* A Brown leather wallet
* A number of debit and credit cards
* A black Apple iPhone
Anyone with information that could help the investigation should call police on 101 quoting incident 309 of January 1.
