A YOUNG entrepreneur from Tetbury is braving the country’s financial turmoil by striking out on her own.
Abi Andrews, 25, recently opened a new hair and make up business – Abi Andrews Hair and Make-Up – from a premises on Hampton Street.
The 25-year-old, who grew up in Tetbury, recently returned to the town after a few years away and said she felt the time was right to strike out on her own.
“Everyone’s said how brave it is,” she said.
“I knew I wanted to start from scratch and it was either this or run a mobile service and I didn’t really want to do that.”
Abi – who runs the business single-handed – specialises in bridal hair and make-up and said she had been doing well since setting up last month.
“The building’s been empty for about three years and everyone has said how nice it is to see it occupied again.”
